WHO WE ARE

Nacho Tea is a creative marketing and PR agency. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you use the Nacho Tea Jargon Translator and the rest of our site, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your own data.

Short version: we only ask for what we actually need, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. If anything here reads like corporate wallpaper, email us at disrupt@nachotea.com and we will translate it.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us

• Email address — when you sign up for the free Marketing & PR Translator e-book or our newsletter.
• Term suggestions — the jargon term, your message, and (optionally) your email address when you suggest a term in the glossary.
• Messages — anything you send us directly by email or through our forms.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, how long you stay, the search terms you type into the translator, browser type and device, and the page that referred you. We use this to understand what people are looking for and to keep the site working.

We do not collect payment details. There is nothing to buy on this site.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• To send you the e-book and occasional Nacho Tea updates you asked for.
• To process and consider jargon term suggestions.

• To improve the translator, our content and the site experience.
• To keep the site secure and to understand how it is used.

Legal basis

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we rely on: your consent (newsletter sign-ups and non-essential cookies), contact/status updates (delivering the guide you requested), legitimate interests (improving and securing the site), and legal obligations where they apply.

COOKIES

We use a small number of cookies to remember your choices and to understand how the site is used. You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the Cookie settings or scroll down to bottom of the page where you will find the Cookie settings button again and just click link there in the footer. SHARING & DISCLOSURE

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with trusted service providers (such as our hosting, email delivery and analytics providers) who process data on our behalf under contract, and we may disclose it where the law requires us to.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some of our service providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or the UK to a country outside them, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect it.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Term suggestions are kept for as long as they are useful to building the glossary. Usage data is kept in aggregated, anonymised form where possible and deleted when it no longer serves a purpose.

YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data.
• Restrict or object to how we process it.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

CHILDREN

Our site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take the basics seriously.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will draw them to your attention where we can.
